Default Mopar STS and Update

I just received my Mopar Short Throw shifter and booger bushings today. I ordered from Modern Performance and they always satisfy me. Every time I order from them they deliver the product quicker than I expect.
I already have booger bushings on my car but I ordered another set just in case and for the future.
Now the only thing I have to do is get my car back. I haven't had my car for a while b/c we kept doing more and more to it. When that happens I will install the STS.
The engine is in my car along with the Indy intake manifold, he just has to do a few more things to finish it up. The installation has been a bitc.. but I'll tell you all about that later on. The Indy was the headache.

Hopefully everything works out. I'm going to try to install the STS myself.

It's a simple 15 minute swap and makes a big difference.

The hardest part is removing the damn metal clips holding the cables in place...so yeah the insatall should take 30min max...and you'll love it once its installed!!

How much does it reduce the throw? I've been thinking about the Pacesetter adjustable one that's supposed to reduce the throw up to 80%. Any thoughts?

If you really want a reduce thats 80%, go for the Maddog STS unit, its probably one of the best made, and i dont really trust Pacesetter quality...especially on something like a STS...

I got the SRT-4 shift boot (just the leather piece) today and I laid it on the Mopar STS and it seems if there is a piece missing. Am I suppose to get another piece to make the shift boot attach directly to the STS unit itself?
I'm anxious to know; Thanks for the help.

No, the shiny metal rod is supposed to be visible...
