You will need a tach adapter. Automeeter part #1695. I got mine on ebay for like 20 bucks.

Okay I just looked on ebay and other sites even and could not find any autometer anything with that part number..... Would the PN: Automter 9117 work as well? and even if I do get one how do you hook it up and such? and will it work with Mopar guages?

Yeah that is it, the 1695 was another company, i looked at mine it is 9117. It is really easy to hook up.
the wires on the 9117:

• Red & Red w/ Green stripe = wired in-line on ignition coil power supply that powers all coils. Installation varies widely from vehicle to vehicle.
• Black = common chassis ground
• Gray = tachometer signal output, connect to Green wire on tachometer

install Instructions:

Locate the dark green wire with an orange stripe and cut it in half. Wire the adapter between the two cut halves. Then the grey to the green tach wire. THEN the power. and you are done!!
It aslo has fault protection. If installed wrong it will not hert it. Mine did not work first try and i had to switch the red, and red w/green around. (input/output)

My car has no tach either, that is why I am putting this tach into it.....so to answer your question "yes, you can hook one up in your car, and how....just the way they explained above"

if it has DIS ignition (no distrubuter) just the box on your valve cover it will have to have the adapter. It should be the same one as above.

Not sure about a forigen tach but i would think it should be the same, just call the company that makes it, if you dont have the number just search it and i am sure you can find it.
