so, should I save a bunch of money and go with one of the ebay short shifters or should I go to advance auto parts or somewhere on line and get a b&m or something like that???[&:] i'm not rich.[X(][>:][]
my main reason for getting a new one is the fact that my shifter moves ALOT in any gear, italmost feals like im in neutral when in gear. and i dont like the looks of the stock shifter. will a new shifter/short shifter help or fic this???

Well it sounds like your problem might be bushings. As far as what shifter to get, as has been said, you get what you pay for, and parts that have to do with the mechanical function of your car are normally not the parts to go cheap on.

 

My car isn't a manual, my friends civic is and he bought a short throw shifter off ebay. It didn't come with the teflon bushing to make better quality throws or the most important part the bearings.

SO GO WITH QUALITY LIKE B&M!!!! Unless your 100% postive which if your asking this question means you arn't then it's just your choice on whether or not you go with an ebay knock off. My friends STS works fine but it's not the best by any means.

 

No, go with the full shifter asembly like the Mopar STS or better yet the Maddog STS...way better shift quality than with a B&M or any other "STS" that only changes the shifter rod.
