My '05 mtx will be on its 3rd IAC motor monday if the dealer doesnt find anything else wrong with it. When I start the car I have to keep my foot on the gas to prevent it from stalling. This is a pain when you come to a stop and have to keep your foot on gas. Both other times this happened it was fixed at different dealers so I know its not a tech overlooking somthing. No CEL. Only mods are B&M shifter and DynoMax catback. 24000 miles.

Is this a known problem or just me?
If its me what am I doing wrong??
My '01 rt has original IAC at 102000 miles!!

 

Could be a short maybe.

A friend of mine has a Talon with idol surge where it stays at 3 grand when you start it and then it surges like a supercharger when its hot.

Its a computer problem, and maybe yours it partially related.

Who knows.

You can try and adjust the throttle linkage to leave the intake open enough to prevent stalling and stop you having to feather the gas peddle.
