Default Catalytic Problems

Ok since I have the new headers and the down pipe that came with them I have been having the Check Engine Light come on I checked the code and it is for the exhaust, since the down pipe took the place of the cat converter, that is why the light is going off...according to my local muffler shop. I am ready to buy a High Flow Cat from eBay and just have them replace it with the downpipe.....is there anything else I can do other than have to put back another cat on..and if I do will I throw any more codes with this one?

High Flow Cat

I have heard rumors of blank sensors to replace the 02 sensor behind the cat so that you can basically put anything on and the sensor will put out a normal reading........is this just a rumor?

You have two options, one option is to buy the high flow cat, and have the muffler shop weld it in just after the downpipe...the other option is to look around for the 02 sensor kits, i dont know exactly what they're called, but Howell was selling them some while ago (not sure if they still sell them though).
