Default Big Brake on my SXT 2004 Will the SRT4 Fit

I just found that the under of my car (an 04 Neon SXT) Is completly rusted... Horid.. One problem is my routers on the inside, ?even with dayly Use? have rusted and are flaking... I am pissed. Dodge is doing nothing... I even have complaned ever 3000 miles to them as I have the service cupons.. they tell me it is normal.

I want to put new ones on. I like these. Wilwood Brake Kit - Front Dynalite Big Brake Hat Kit w/ Black Calipers (HP Rotors) http://www.andysautosport.com/dodge/..._kits/wilwood/ dose any one know if they will fit.. Wilwood Brake Kit - Front Dynalite Big Brake Hat Kit w/ Black Calipers (HP Rotors)

If you want to use the Wilwood kit you'll need the SRT-4 knuckles...the base Neon knuckles can be machined to work, but i'm not really sure of what all needs to be done in the machining process.

03neonRT,

Thank you. I will have to look in to that, and learn what that is. I will probably if I go that way, get the used part.

I have another question if someone doesnt mind. I do not plan to speed up my car any I just want parts that are good and do not rust out. The mechanics have my car right now and tell me it will be close to $3,000 to replace the rusty parts. (Sway Bar, exsoust hangers, mofler, and pipe, brake routers, brake calapers). I just feel like he might be ripping me off.

So I am thinking of just buying the parts and going to our auto craft to learn to put them on. I would like parts that do not rust. So after all this, My question is.

Should I replace these parts with Performance parts. Or can I find good parts that will not rust out?

Thank you.

(Sway Bar, exsoust hangers, mofler, and pipe, brake routers, brake calapers).
Are those the only parts being replaced? If they are then you ARE being ripped off...lets say you go with performance parts, the cost would be as follows:

1. Hotchkis Sway Bars - $280
2. Borla Catback - $600.00 (Or a similar catback, ranging in price from $300-$600)
3. Wilwood Big brake Kit (front only) - $1,100
4. SRT-4 Knuckles, Misc Brake parts - $100-$200

Total- $2,180 For All performance replacements that can be installed quite easily in your garage with simple tools...

Yeah...3 grand is way high. For stock replacement it should be well under 1 grand for all of that. At least if you search. As for brake rotors rusting...that is normal. And good luck getting them to replace under warranty. That is a "normal wear and tear" part. Not going to be under warranty. My rotors are fine and my car has almost 40,000 miles on it. I put new pads on it around 28k miles, but other then that my brakes work very well.
