My son's car is a 2001 Neon RT, 5 speed. The shift cable bushing on the transmission side wore out and this is not a serviceable item from Dodge. I've tried junk yards, no one seems to have this nor do they want to sell this separate from the whole package. Where can I find replacement parts NEW or Used for this!! Need Help, would appreciate some feedback. Thanks in advance.[&:]

im wondering if im developing this problem because i am starting to feel a notch between shifts every once in a while that i know wasnt there before. I know its not the synchros because its not grinding its just a little notch every once in awhile. Please let me know if im experinceing my bushings going bad. Because this is my first manual car and i am a decent shifter i think. When i coast i never ride the gears if im going slow and i usually **** at the 3600 rpm mark. I have felt this shifing into second forth and reverse.

 

I have bushing and feel a little notchyness in 3rd. Cables are not very positive and while the BoogerBushings are the greatest thing since sliced bread for a Neon not a total cure.

 

im deffintly considering a tranny fluid change, i just started running mobile full-synthetic and i noticed after about 2 weeks the oil has burned more than an 8th of qt. Does anyone know the procedure of changing the tranny fluid?
