Default P 0551 (M) Error Code

This is the code I get:

P0551 (M) Power Steering Switch Failure Incorrect input state detected for the power steering
switch circuit. PL: High pressure seen at high speed

Has anyone at all ever gotten this one? If so, how did you fix it?

(What is the (M) stand for, and PL?)

ok well to replace it you need a 7/8 deep socket and an extension... crwal under your car on the drivers side go past the front axel and look up to your left and there should be your power steering pump and there is gonna be a little electrical connector... take that off... reach up there with the socket n extension and take it out... and the new one goes in the same exact way...

there is an electrical connector in the part you need to replace...take the connector off, and then remove the part from the pump...the part is like the size of a 9volt battery.. not that hard to miss...
