Either Champion copper or Denso Iridium. Champions are cheapest however, since Denso plugs cost about $14 a piece...their are also other brands, but those are the ones i have experience with.

The coppers are more efficient than the platinum and tend to last a little longer.
But, I belive they need a little gap adjustment. Not that Iv done that myself.

Iridiums are more efficient than copper, but a lot more expensive.

Most people are using either Champion, or NKG copper plugs.

I do know theres a heat factor involved when choosing platinum or copper.


from my experience.
I swapped out the platinums 2 weeks after I bought the neon.
All Iv seen is a slightly better idle, but I also used thread paste and terminal paste on the new plugs and made sure they were screwed into place properly. So that may have been the reason for the improved idle.
