Default Whoohoo! ridin' with an SS

Well, Im not too sure what it was.
But, I got irritated on the way home. Im in a 70mph zone and everyones going around 65... ZZZzzzzz......
So, I add some gas and pass this 'ford' on his inside.
A chevy SS (still not sure what actual model the car was, im sure someone here knows. It had SS on the rear and a twin exhaust) sees me do this and follows.
Before long, Im running cruising my Neon at 90Mph and this SS is following.
For a short time, it got infront and me and when we cleared some traffic it did speed up slightly faster than me. But I caught him and got around him in the next group of traffic. Not bad for a 4 banger!.

It was great fun!.
First game of tag Iv played in the Neon and I have to say, considering I only changed the Muff and installed a custom CAI Im really impressed with its performance.
I cant wait to see what it can do when I get a performance air filter, some alloy rims.

The Cobalt SS Supercharged is the closest competition to the Neon SRT-4. The car will run a low 14 second quarter mile stock....and is not a bad car.

I dare you to find another car for under $23k that's AS fast when you drive it off the lot brand new.....good luck.....cuz they dont make em...

It doubt it was a cobalt b/c they don't have twin exhaust for those (correct me if I'm wrong). It could have been a Camero. If that's the case he wasn't racing; he could have been messing around. It also could have been an Impala.

It could have been a Malibu SS or a Malibu Maxx as well.....they're smaller....

I highly doubt it was an Impala SS or a Camaro....as both are very easy to recognize and no one would confuse those cars with being slow by any means. Like you said, if it was, they werent even trying...

By the way, I've seen a couple of Cobalts w/ dual exhaust......there's a couple of people on this forum who have dual exhaust non SRT-4 Neons.....so its not hard to picture someone wanting to mod that...

The Cobalt SS S/C isnt a bad car, and it is a steal for the price now that the Neon SRT-4 is no more...If i were given the choice between an 05 Cobalt S/C and 05 SRT-4 though, i would choose the SRT-4 hand down...14.6 vs. 13.9 (13.7 in the ACR), more room to build on in my opinion, but the interior isnt as "refined" as the Cobalts...plus, its a massive improvement over the Cavalier, i'll let GM have there victory in the econo Sport Compact market for the moment...

The numbers I've seen and read on the Cobalt S/C's are like 14.2-14.4.....and yes...the SRT-4 is better....but consider this....it's a 2.4L Turbo vs. a 2.0L S/C.....and the Cobalt weighs the same as the SRT-4 despite being a coupe..

I'm with you, I'd choose the SRT-4....but it's still a decent car....
