it all depends. it will increase the actual mpg, but thats only if you drive it the same way. most people's mpg goes down after getting an intake because they drive the car harder to hear the pretty new sound their car makes, so mpg depends greatly on the driver

Most performance enhancements won't gain you any better MPG. The intake will give very slight gains because it allows the engine to work more efficiently, but for the most part, extra horsepower comes from allowing the car to burn extra fuel.
