Default Loose E-brake cable?

60% of the time when I floor my car from a complete stop my ebrake light turns on, then turns off as soon as I shift to 2nd gear. It's only illuminated during first gear. What the hell is going on? Again this only happens when I floor it from a complete stop. Otherwise it will never turn on at all.

check your brake fluid level it may be low and swish around when you come to a hard stop and throw on the light because it thinks you are low on fluid

I donno I'm usualy sitting at a red light for at least a minute a lot of times. Then like to punch it untill I get to the speed limit. But I just got my oil changed last week. They always refill my fuids if they are low.

its a dummy light for low brake fluid. if you did just get your brake fluid changed... you might want to check your lines for leaks.[&:]

definately check the brake fluid, as well as the brakes, reason being most shops, mine included, will not fill brake fluid unless we just changed the brakes, other wise when you push the brake piston in for the brake job the resivior will overflow.
