Hello, i've heard a few rumors that the turboed PT Cruiser Engine would fit into a Neon what are your thoughts?

 

The PT turbo engine is the same as the SRT-4 engine except for the intake manifold...if you bought a 2.4 turbo engine out of the PT, you would need to locate the intake manifold off of an SRT-4. So yes, it will fit.

 

would it fit on the SRT-4's only or would it fit into all 2nd gen Neons?

 

2nd neons too, im in the process of droppin the pt 2.4 turbo automatic engine/trani on my 02 neons, the engines are mad expensive, they run for like 3Gs as far as ive seen, not sure if srt4 engines r that expensve, but ebay has em, u want it for auto or manual? cuz if manual go with the normal srt if auto go with the ptcruiser

 

Manual... the Srt engine goes for like $4k+ so yea......... plus they are hard to find

 

theres one on ebay for like 1.5Gs goin on sale now with tranny with 11k, if u got the bread check it out, also a pt cruiser turboed 2.4 for 1.5Gs
