Gas mileage update, what are you getting?
When I bought my 2005 Neon SXT with automatic transmission last October it averaged 24MPG in suburban driving. By summer it climbed to 26.4MPG and stopped rising. I replaced my stock air filter last month after 11,000 miles with a K&N stock replacement washable filter. My last 2 tanks averaged 27.6 MPG. Curiously, the original filter is yellow and still looked clean. (not very dusty in upstate NY) So far I'm noticing a 4% increase in gas mileage with the washable K&N air filter and instant throttle response. After several more tanks I'll know how accurate that mileage gain is and I'll let you folks know then. When it's time for new plugs I'll put some better ones in and let you know if it helps. I love my Neon but frankly I expected to average 30 MPG when I bought it based on past experience with many cars of many makes over 26 years.
Arrive alive,

I'm getting 30 out of my 04 R/T with an MTX. I drive about 60 miles round trip each day, some mixed driving. I changed the plugs, and went all sythetic. I also added IXL metal conditioner. I'm pretty pleased with the mileage with this car. That's a pretty big gain for a filter.

All Iv done so far is swap out the muffler and removed the air intake "Box" from the system to get some cooler air into the engine.
I have to say, I dont knotice any differance in gas usage between town and freeway, or cruising at 60 or 75...
Honestly, I think I get better milage when Im running at 75 or 80 that if I ran at 60 or 65.
Per tank Im looking at about 300 miles, on generic oil, and mid grade gas with the origonal plugs, wires and pak.

30 most of the time. But only go 6 miles to work with a top speed of 45 for less than 300 Yard each time. On the open road with mixec city and highway I got 36 for 4 tanks in a row then 32 then back to 36 3 more times. Depends on your gas in your area, driving habits and traffic. Car amintenace.
