Default resetting PCM question

I was getting the engine light coming on, but I think I have fixed the problem, but the light is still on and I want to reset the PCM...
Is it as simple as unhooking the battery or is there a better or correct way to do it?

Thanks,

unhook the batter and hit the brake for 10 seconds. it's not enough to just disconnect it because there is always power stored up somewhere. Hitting the brakes discharges any power that might be left over anywhere in the car and dumps the CPU.
