Default Help me please!!!!!!!!!!

2000 Neon SE my wife just went to the gas station on her way to church and when she came out it wouldnt start.

you turn the key the 1/2 turn and everything works, turn it the rest of the way and nothing from the starter

checked Fuses, relays, and plug is connected to the selenoid battery is showing 13 volts

anyone have any ideas it dosent even try to turn

could it be the Neutral Position Sensor and if so where is it located on the neon

Thanks

try putting the car in neutral and starting it....that should tell you if its the switch....and try all the gears while your at it.....if that is the problem, its located on the lower front of the trans.....if you look from underneath the car it should be the first sensor you see on the front of the trans

as spud said, its possibly a problem with the transmission (auto) having to be in P or N. Once had a sensor go out in a Probe, it wouldnt let the car out of park cuz the sensor that told it the brake was on was broke. haha, anyhow check out that connection on the front of the tranny!
