I own a dodge neon 2004 sxt looking to make around 450 bhp at the crank. I'm looking for a LSD for the 40TE automatic been looking for one for around 2yrs. Any help finding one would be very helpful. I go to a automotive college.

You have the wrong car for those types of numbers. Yes it can be done but not easily.

and not with the stock 2.0 liter engine.

what you'd need is an SRT swap with lots of money for performance parts.

Its much much harder to build up the 40TE to hold anywhere near that much power, bump it up to the 41TE (PT Cruiser Turbo) and you'll have a better chance of finding performance parts. I believe the 41TE is what someone on SRT Forums is using to build up an automatic SRT-4 drag monster...

yeah, the 2.0 is def the wrong answer for that kind of power. youll need a built up 2.4 if you want it to last.

well at least his heart is in the right place.....and i agree you should just do an SRT-4 swap or a PT Cruiser Turbo Swap, it will be a lot easier to make 450... still reallllllllllllly tough though.... not to mention very very very exspensive....

Their are 2.0 making that kind of power now! I plan on boring and stroking it. I'm going to do the work myself. Yes it would be easier with a swap but this is what I want to do. How many 2.0 do you now that can hang with the big dogs. If I wanted to do a swap it would already be done. The 2yrs I've been looking for the lsd was without a computer talking to other guys that had neons.
