Default single wiper?

maybe has been asked prior, but....

I had noticed these in the past on some tuners... changing the front 2 wipers to one big one.

What was the advantage there?...was it just for looks, to make it look "Euro"?

A friend has one on his Civic, and he said all he did was buy a longer wiper and arm, take off the driver side wiper arm completely, and re-position the arm on the passenger side one so it wipes down the middle of the windshield..

could it be that easy? just pulling it off and movin it over a couple spines?

anything is possible. i wouldnt really recomend it because you do have two for a reason and if you do take both off and then put one in the middle, you will have the existing holes from the old wipers and it will look pretty bad, but thats just my opinion

The reason there is two wipers is because it clears more of the windshield.

it is just for looks and thats the only purpose it serves.....you dont even have to go and buy a longer arm, just use the longer one alredy on your car.....and yes all you have to do is move it a few splines.....which is why the wiper doesnt go all the way down when they do it, it always stays about half way up
