Default Black Headlight mod

i found a way to black out the housing in the headlights instead of getting those aftermarket ones. and the replace the amber bulbs with white. but all you got to do is get some spray paint. then you got to throw the headlight in the oven for like 10 mins. pull the lense off and the housing will come right out with it. put masking tape in the turning signal area and then spray it. and there you go you got "aftermarket" headlights. i will but pics up later when my wife gets home with the car.

He probably mean that he wouldn't tint them because it would compromise their function.

Right.
If you play with the headlights, you have to compensate for the drop in illumination.
Else your basicaly driving with illegal lights.

The ones you get over the counter have the reflectors adjusted and the lamp has a slightly higher output to compensate for the reduced 'mirrored' area. Else, they are 'lensed'.

Id love to see the pictures though.

Heck, even some images of the convertion in progress??
