OK here goes... Engine light on. check code.. cyl 1 misfire.. Changed plugs/wires/coilpack and didnt help. was told by friend/backyard mechanic that it was fuel injector. It idles VERY badly at stops (redlights, drive-thru, etc.) almost to the point you think its gonna die, headlights even flicker, loss of power. What does anyone think it may be and has anyone had the same problem? Ive not much luck outta this car, Ive already had to replace the transmission! Anyhoo, any response would be appreciated. Well an injector is probably a good starting point. You may try a good fuel injector cleaner such as Redline SL-1, BG 44K, Chevron Techron Concentrate. Use at a full bottle with say 1/2 tank and then when empty another bottle for the full tank and see where you are at. If you want to try and verify fuel injectors then pull them and swap them say 1 and 2 if it still misses on 1 and not 2 then you have another issue. If it does follow the injector you can just get one from say NAPA about $60 according to the web. Up to you.
