Default new CIA

OK so my friend just installed a CIA in my 2005 neon sxt (is not a k & n, i dont remember the brand). Sometimes when I stop on a red light the intake makes a load WOOOOOOO sound, is that normal? What can I do so it doesn't make that sound?

Thanks

Well start checking for any points were it contact the body and can rattle against it. Sounds like something is loose or up held up against the body and makes noise due to the increased vibration of Idle. Look at your air filter and inner fender too.

It is normal. I believe it's been deemed the fog horn. It's some sort of resonance. If you just blip the throttle it will go away.

yea that happened to my cai. does urs have a little tube that comes out of the side of the cai tube itself? because i got a aem cai and it had that little tube neck thing and wen i covered it to not let dirty air in the intake itself it started making that noise ur talking about then wen i gave it gas it went away. To solve it i went to autozone and bought some rubber tubing and hooked one end to the intake neck thing and then the other end i went around the battery and hooked it to this thing on the back of my motor thats visible right behind ur spark plug wires. or u can simply get a little filter and screw it down on the intake neck thing. Im sorry idk wat its called but its about an inch long and sticks out of the inatke tube on the opposite side of where the sensor goes in. I just no that if it is covered and cant get air in through that it will make that noise. Its like wen u pour gas out of a gas tank and it dosent come out good untill u open that little tab on the back to let air in. If u try that it will most likely stop making that noise, u can get the little filters at autozone for like 5$ or get a four foot tube thats the right diameter inside and it will fit on the engine and the intake. The thing the intake hooks to is on the back part of the valve cover just left of ur ignition coil if ur facing the front of the car, thats where u hook the other end of the tube to. I fed mine around my battery and to the back of the motor.
