The headgasket should be fine in your 02. I believe they started putting the MLS headgasket on in mid 99. Those mechanics are dumbasses.

They don't have as many parts as Hondas but they are def. capable of tuning. Depending how much money u want to put into it they should satisfy someone who wants performance.

a neon is as only good as the person driving it. Same for any car. Sadly... the people who drive neons arent after performance. So neons have a bad name. Same reason for why civics have a bad name for rediculous spoilers and fart cans the size of my face. So, in all essance, any car you put money into can be a beast.

The only one that can really say if it is worth it to do anything to your car is YOU, after all, you will be the one paying for the work, and no one else's opinion should really matter.

Be your own person and set your own course. If you follow others, you'll never get noticed.

that is so true

when i started really driving my neon

everyone was like "man that car is a piece of **** and it is hell of slow"

then i beat my friend with an EG6 Si

so far my biggest accomplishment was beating a dodge truck with 400 ft lb of tq
he didnt take off at his best

then when i had a bad launch i kept up with him almost

shows them how much power a neon really has...
