Default VVT Heads

Does anyone know if the VVT heads off the Caliber would match up with the 04 2.0 block or know someone who has a kit to make it work? I think it would be pretty sweet to run them! Has possiably if it would work for 2.4 for the guys that like the 2.4 engine swap too.

The 2.0/2.4 World Engines are completely different then any current 2.4 or 2.0 engines so it wont just bolt-up...

Plus i'm pretty sure it uses a coil-on plug ignition system...so i dont know how you could make that work with our single coil-pack system.

I see this thread has died, but found something that might be of interest. If you desire VVT on almost any engine check out http://powrehaus.com/2007/01/26/powre-valvz/
Much simpler and cheaper than trying to swap heads/systems from another vehicle. Performance should actually exceed factory style VVT's.

They just received the first set of powre valvz for the 2.2/2.5 engines. This simple valve conversion ads continously variable vavle timing, along with
stopping reversion.

They should have the first engine (2.5 Dakota) running in coming weeks. Inventor has seen HUGE increases in low end torque. Smooths out radical cams like the Rhoads lifters but better and quitely. I hope to have my 16v neon head converted for a 2.5 Shelby Daytona swap.
