Default Coilovers

I need help guys and girls.. I have an 2000 Dodge Neon. I have been working on different things for the last few months. i recently was given a set of arospeed coilovers. I have stock struts on the car now and look to replace them with KYB GR-2 since the left driver's side is basically shot. KYB GR-2 Struts GOOD OR NOT GOOD???? I Need to know if the kyb gr-2 struts will most likely work and if coilovers are a bad idea im getting all these different stories about coilover. Are they that bad?

Default RE: Coilovers

As far as i know the KYB's are nearly identical to the stock struts as far as how they handle being lowered on...

If you dont want to spend $1000 on real coilovers then jsut buy some Tokico HP Blues struts and call it a day. But if you can afford reall coilovers, like IPP, K-Sport, and the like then buy them...they are worth every penny.

The Aerospeed "Coilovers" you were given are not true coilovers, they are simply sleeved lowering springs designed to imitate the look of coilovers, but they dont give anywhere near the same performance or ride quality as real coilovers do. Your better off buying the Tokico Blues struts and installing some Eibach Pro-Kit springs if you cant afford the real thing.
