Snow tire question
Hey i was just wondering if anyone could tell me a good time to put on my snow tires? Id rather not keep my srt rims on in the winter. I live in PA so yeah it gets pretty cold quick...does anyone have any suggestions,,,thanks....
If they are studded snow tires they are only legal (to be on your car) in PA November 1 to April 15 http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/winter/states.PDF
Snow tires will usually give you better traction in colder temperatures than summer or all-seasons. The best time to put the winter tires on would be before it snows, so take a look at your local weather forecast and if the temp gets below 40ish or snow is in the forecast put the tires on.... Or you could just put them on now so you don't have to keep looking at the weather forecast and you will be ready for the cold stuff.

I put mine on in october last year, but thats only because I bent a rim. I will probably put mine on in a week or two this year, or whenever I finish repainting my stock wheels again (very early november at the latest). Although it did snow last week and it stuck to the ground.......so for me, anytime would really be appropriate.

Yeah, so what? Those are not snow tires. Post *****. Try and drive in the snow with those and find out what happens. I've driven with my summer tires on in the snow, it was very challenging to say the least.
