I'm tryin to hook a amp to the stock stereo becuz my alpine deck needs a new wrie harness. Where do i hook up the remote wire on the stock stereo?? i need answers quick plz im doin it right now!!!

 

im not sure what color wire it is you need, but hook it to the ignition wire...should be the second wire from the left on the grey plug

i checked the wire that you said. its blue w/ orange strip that looked like the wire that goes to the rear 6x9 on the grey plug theres 2 rows. by jus lookin at it i think the black one is the wire but i dont kno..would it help if i told you i have a 2nd Gen '03???

 

that was a dum reply bcuz the black is the ground i have no idea wat wire it is....help plz!!! lol

 

finally i figured it out it was the red and white wire second from the left on the second row...thx alot!!!

 

i didnt know that there were two rows on the plug....i thought they were still the same

Yea, the white wire is usualy either the acessory or memory wires.
The Accessory will only function when the key is in accessory, or running position. Memory have voltage constantly, to keep the sterios memory valid.
Black is ground, and red is usualy +12v

You could have gone to the local car audio place, they have the refernace materials you would have been needing.
