ha pvc is cheap piping from homedepot. lots or people make intakes out if it (myself included) its cheap and easy, and in my opinion, it works better because its plastic so it wont heat up and heat the air going into the intake. but other people call it ghetto and whatnot but if its cheap and works just as good and if not better, then why not. you could pay 200+for a name brand or make your own for $10. thats just how i see it
