Anyone here have any good tips for cleaning engines?

 

cover everything up thats electrical, get some simple green... get eevrything thats dirty, and wash appropriately. make sure to watch the spark plug boots and stuff. Don't want water in there.

Some people dont like simply green but I think it works great!

 

I usually just get some engine cleaner from auto zone and cover up all the electrical stuff

 

I go with the simply green method, then once your done soak everything in either tire shine or spray on wax...turn on the car and then shut the hood...let sit till the engine gets up to temp and then wait five more minutes. You'll see "steam" coming out from under the hood...prop it open and gaze upon your shiny engine bay.
