Hey guys. Just bought a 2001 Neon SE with an Automatic and wanting to increase horsepower 2 - 3X factory. Will the stock transmission handle it? If not, has anyone completed a swap to a manual transmission in this car. If so, what was required and how difficult was it. Thanks.

 

No it wont.

 

no the stock auto transmission will not handle that much power but you can install a manual transmission, I am thinking of doing it myself.

 

Do you know of a kit or are you just going to install one from a junkyard? Any good sites you know of with How-to's?
