Anyone know how much oil my 2001 Neon takes... as i want to do an oil change today but i dont wanna over/under fill it with oil..... thanks :-D

Unless you get a ahem.. cough... cough... a Viper sized filter then it is 5 qts.

And what would the point of that be....other then saying "yeah, I have a viper filter on my neon!"

 

Viper filter will ad 20 horspower! That's what I heard. (may as well make the thread intresting)

 

Hey, and maybe a top fuel dragster filter will give u 200whp. That would be the ****!!! lol

 

i heard if you grow a camaro driving mullet it ads 50hp and a big haired girlfriend in a leather jacket.

 

The Caravan (Viper) filter just increases the total oil system capacity like adding a deep sump or larger oil pan. It is only a half a quart but it is a free 1/2 quart so why not. For a NAPA # you can cross the FL300 from Motorcraft.

The advantage is just more oil which you end up buying anyway, you know that last 1/2 quart. You just dump the whole 5 Qts. in. The filter costs the same the oil is already bought and it still sits well above the sub-frame so why not.
