Default head swap

sup? I have a 2001 dodge neon and i was wondering if anyone knew if the block is the same in my car as a first gen dohc motor
( what i am trying to do is a head swap if the casting numbers are the same, and if the oiling pionts are the same) aslo has anyone even herd of this swap being done??? and what about the head on a 2.4 stratus would it work??? all and ideas will be helpful!!!!!!!!!!!

the dohc head will line up with your motor but beond that i have no idea. the 2nd gens have more restictions on the pcm than the 1st so you may have probs with that.

As far as I know the oil passages will not match up between the 2.0 block and 2.4 head, although they will physically bolt up to each other. If you really want a DOHC 2.0 just find a DOHC head from a 1st Gen 2.0 and do it that way. The only problem will be your PCM, you would have to go MS or something because the computer wont like it...you'll also have to toy around with some of the sensor wiring and get the DOHC timing belt...but other than that...
