Default Just got back from a "Dyno Holiday"

Well, as the title states, I just got back from a dyno day at a speed shop in albuquerque. Haha. Was fun! I will post pics when I get them, but best of all is I got to see my car dyno (and hear it's shmexy growl).

Unfortunately, we all know elevation kills horsepower like none other. Albuquerque is around and a little above 5000 feet (and where I live is 7500 feet). So, after I looked up the calculations and converted my chart to sea level... I saw my car is pushing 120 (almost 121) horses at 68 degrees with 7% humidity. Then again... I don't think they got any good runs due to it being an automatic tranny... but who knows. It seems right to me.

I will copy the original dyno sheet sometime and put it in my profile.

Sadly my parts still havent shipped... and I have no idea why it is taking howell 3-4 months to ship a header, and a cam gear.[:@] I am also waiting still on my camshaft and valve springs[:@]

Pics will follow tomorrow or monday...

Okay, well I have some pictures up. There are more on my ever growing photobucket... but I am posting only the ones of mine right now. Thee were a couple SRT-4's there with a Z28 camaro, Very modded Corado, 2 Mazda MX-3's, A drag racing car (El Camino), one turo civic, and a couple more along with myself. Enjoy the pics!

Haha. I know. Elevation here kills power on N/A cars. I whenever I go anywhere the amount of difference in power is amazing. Oh well... There it is... my amazingly low number at 5000 feet

Yeah that looks like what a STOCK Neon would look like on the dyno...i would assume with your TB, Exhaust, and CAI you should be in the 115-120whp range (not to bash on your calculations though )...

That sounds great for a few boltons and an auto tranny.
It also gives me a far closer idea of how much hp I have.

You should do it again when you get that shiny new cam and etc. in!
