Is it really worth it?
Ok here we go...
I'm 18 right now. I have a 2002 Dodge Neon ES that my mom gave it to me when I got my license because she bought an Infinity QX56. I don't want to get rid of it because it's in good condition and hardly gives me any problems (43,800 miles). I've already been putting $$$ into too so.. the question is..
Is it worth swapping my automatic Neon ES to a SRT-4 engine/tranny. Labor isn't the problem, I got that all covered. Is it really worth buying all the parts to complete the swap? Can anyone tell me about how much everything will end up costing without labor?

my opinion on the situation is that i would put the money into it. I have a 2003 dodge neon and Its going to cost me about 4 grand to put in the turbo. It is an awsome car. If you want the performance and you know the car is worth it than go ahead with it. And the Main question is do you have the $$$$$. Another thing is that, is this your main car that you drive everyday? if it is you might want to reconsider doing it because if problem come up you will be out of a car. See about my car I will not put the turbo into my car till I get another car, but other people my have other opinions.
Yea, I thought about it, it is my main car and I drive it every day but I still live with my parents so I think I'll be good
. The $$$.. I could save up the $ easily since I have a decent paying job. I already have the $ for the engine/tranny. The only thing I'm worried about is how much $ will I be putting in for other required parts to complete the swap.

Honestly I would do the swap, the catch is though is I would only do it if I could find a wreck srt-4 in the right condition, which I am currently in the search for. If you happen to get lucky and find one, It really shouldn't be more than 3 thousand for the car and your have ALL the parts and some extras or extras that you could sell to get a litlle cheddar back. So I'd go for it but find a car, if your new to the game like u are I would not just get an engine and trans, your just gonna be in for a long hard road.
