Ok I just got a Dual stereo for my 05' neon and I need a stereo mounting kit. Could someone please tell me where I can get one? Do I need a special one for my car that I can only get through the internet or will I be able to find one at my local audio store? If there is a question like this already in the forums I have tried to search for it but my stupid computer wont bring me to the next page when I click search so I'm very sorry for posting this if its been posted already. Any help would be very appreciated thankyou!

 

what are you talking about a mouting kit do you mean the plastic peice that fits in where your old radio sunce the new headunit is smaller? id say try bestbuy or circuit city or any other place where you can have it installed and c if you can get it through them

 

I have watch my friend literally do 100 head unit installs, if that is what your talking about.

All you need is a

1) DASH KIT like 25 dollars
2) WIRE HARNESS like 14 dollars
It's just over 40 dollars if I remember correctly

BOTH FROM WALMART (ie. CHEAPEST, but there the same thing)

I'm actually putting in a Pioneer over break that my friend is just giving me, b/c he has quite a few , so that's kinda ironic that you said somthing.

 

yup, walmart or circuitcity would be the best bet. and for the love of god, get the wireharness adapter, dont cut the factory harnesses off!!!

I can get both the wiring harness + the dash kit for $7 each .. I work at Circuit City.

Thankyou for the replies they helped a lot. Yea im looking for the plastic that fits where the old stereo use to be. I installed the stereo alread by cutting the wires I should have looked for the harness but I couldnt wait any longer to hear my new speakers and amp pound the hell out of my trunk and omg do they pound! Anyway so do I just pick up any dash kit or is there a special one i need that fits my car. It looks like some are different that others. thanx again for the replies and sweet set up on your neon 04 mo neon.

 

yeah, its a pain if you evern want to put the factory back in, or install a different deck. best of luck, hope you left enough wire there to reconnect them if necessary[&o]
