Make sure it's a good motor and trans. cannot say that enough. And under 35,000 miles would be good. Other than that it's a decent price.

You should be able to find a nice totalled SRT-4 for $5k-$6k depending on the amount of damage...obviously a rear impact one would be what you would want. If you just want the engine and trans already out of the car your looking at $2,000-$3,500 depending on mileage. I would try and find the wrecked SRT-4 that way everything you need for the swap is right there, plus you can swap the brakes, interior stuff, and anything else that isnt really damaged.

There is a wrecked ACR on ebay but it has front damage and the air bags deployed so that's kinda a red flag for me. Just thought i'd let u know though.
Anyone know if there is a junkyard inventory system or do u just have to call up everysingle junkyard in the phone book to find out what kind of car they have?

that's a good one... only 12k miles on ot, BUT...

there is a reserve on the auction, and looks like the seller deals in motors, so he knows what it's worth, and the reserve may well be right in the same area as talked about on this post...anywhere from 3 to 4 thousand...especially with that low mileage

i would also go look fora wrecked srt to, that way like stated above you have everything you will need. i would take the totaled srt, do your swap, and what ever is not used, or usable, you can always take it to spatonics, and sell the interior or whatever is left on ebey... if so i need another guage pods that are in the center of the dash in the srt, haha

some good input here.... i was also thinking that maybe an option would be to buy a new 2.4 or 2.2 L from howell automotive and then just turbo that.... just another option though, might end up spending a tad more but it is wayyyy less work and it is also brand new motor from the sounds of it so i think i would be happy with that.... but those first 500 miles of break-in would be hell for me... i'd just drive around my town....errrrrrrrrrrrr county for a weekend just to get it over with lol well thats my thought...
