you almost had me...ya never had your car.
Sad but true, most people can't handle power at first, for me I'm just getting to the point in my car where I have the car down to a point where I know exactly where the limits of it our.
Honestly I see very few non srt-4 neon crashed due to street racing mostly because the people that drive them and street race have more experience with the car before they push the limits if you kinda get what I'm trying to say.
And another sad srt-4 victum.
Stuff like that just sucks to hear about.

yeah agreed, but i thnk it is porshe that is starting to make you take a class on how to handle these more "topend cars" that is what dodge honeslty needs to do!! because as we all know dodge has always been into performance, even back in the sixtys when the hemicuda, ext ext....i have had two vipers in my area, and the one was totaled and the guy took to for a test drive from the dealership, and well it was the last ride he ever went for, i hear he hit a bridge doing like 140 and lost it and took off the bridge and threw the car about 100 foot into a river, tough way to die, and a really stupid way if you ask me, but the family bought the car from the dealership....accually i think they where forced into it......
and the other one came from the same dealership but it was an emplyee of the shop, and he drove it and wrecked it, around a pole or tree, cant remember. he LIVED but did not work at the dealership anymore for aperent reasons, lol
i think it is not the car, but the driver, if the driver is stupid he is looking for something like this to happen, if you know the car has power then the smart people never get in the car all the way and endup around a pole.....you just have to be smart with hp!!!!

have some respect for the dead, weve all been in bad situations most of us make it out alive and hopefully we learn from it, keep this in mind the next time you race, dieing is bad but killin someone else and living with it is much worse. none of us can throw the first stone.

I'm a full believer in autocrossing, or some form of legal racing. It can keep kid's from doing stuff like this on the roads. And maybe teach them car control. The bad thing is he was not wearing a seat belt. But from the look's of the car it would not have helped.
yeah....i was in a car accendent about 5 miles from my house, i was in a jeep and hit an s10 blazer head on on and icy bridge, i got lucky all the way around, my wrangle never roled and the cab of it stayed perfectly together,i just got a serious concusion from hitting the roll cage with my head......but the kid that i hit i accually went to high school with, and when i hit him my jeep bumper went into his leg, CRUSHING IT, he is better now, but will always walk with a limp for the rest of his life, so everytime he comes into work i feel like an inch tall, he does not blame me for it, but something like that sticks with you FOREVER!!! i do not even want to think about him dieing in that accedent, i do not know how i would be, it is bad enough seeing him come in limping but never being able to see him again, that would not be something anyone could deal with very well
yeah i feel bad about it but i guarantee this is how it went down...
Pre Xmas- "Mom, its a safe car, Its from dodge, I wont be racing it, racing is for stupid people."
Post Xmas- well you know what happened.
I bet the parents didnt even know what was under the hood
