UDP
I finally got my AF/X under drive pulley from howell. I was wondering if there is any way around heating up the pulley in the oven just to put it in? Its just the fact that i dont really own an oven, could i put it in the microwave for like an hour, lol. I was also thinking if i could just wait until i get my timing belt job done (its around time, i have a bit over 150k), i could just let the mechanic install the udp along with the timing belt.

Well the microwave thing was not a serious thought, it just came to my mind because of the oven thing. But i just wanted to see if there is any other way or if it can be done while they do the timing belt job. thanks.
wen i put mine on i just took a pot and put the UDP in and filled it with water untill it covered it. Then i put it on my stove and boiled it for like 20min.wen it was hot i poured out the water and put some gloves on and i got the UDP on enough so that i could use thetool that screws it on. Also i had to go to Napa autoparts and get a longer bolt to get the pulley on because you might not be able to get more than 2 threads of thefactory one in. The longer bolt allows you to get more threads on there so you dont mess up anything. Also you are going to need a kit that takes the stock pulley off and can screw on the new one. And wen you get the pulley all the way on put medium strengthlock tight on the threads of thefactory bolt you took out of the old pulley andtorque it down to 100ft/lbs. getting a bolt that is about aquarter inch longer than the one that you took out will allow you to put the pulley on aloteasier and safer. Note that you only use the longer bolt for screwing on the new pulley and to use the factory bolt to tighten it on with because the factory one is like twice as strongas the one you are going to find at Napa. Also make sure that the threads are the same size on the factory boltas the longer bolt you can buy. This is just how i did mine, there might be an easier way but this is easier than it sounds. You can probly go to Advanced autoparts and pay for one of these kits to take it off with, then wen you are done take it back and get your money refunded because they cost like 80$, thats wat i did.
