Default The long debate about ride quality

On my 02 es I'm buying a set of shocks struts and springs. I do not want the car to feel like I'm driving a log flume. Unlike my other cars there will be no coilovers on this one. I want to do my whole suspension upgrade by the end of the month. I want a factory ride quality but with less body roll and a lower center of gravity. I'm only gonna drop the height by about 1 1/2". I'm looking for ACR sway bars right now so that will help a little with the body roll as will the lower center of gravity. I just don't want to beat the crap out of myself or family.Who is riding on what? How is the ride quality? I want no bounce. What did you pay for everything? I just don't think that I need coilovers in this situation. I don't need the adjustable of height changing.I'm thinking about Koni shocks and struts but don't even know if theyhave a fitment for neons.

I saw a set ofTokico hp bluesstruts and springs on EBAY for like $350 to $400 shipped. Thats not expensive at all. I thought I read on here somewhere about the springs being loose on the struts before they are installed on the car. That worries me a little bit has anyone else noticed that problem? I just don't want to experience problems with them whenI put them on.

I saw Tokico HP Blues for like $290 from a trusted seller on eBay the other day since I'm buying those before the month is over. I'm riding on Tein S. Tech springs..yea.. ride is a lil rougher.. I'll post up some pix in a minute. No bounce or anything.. you can just feel pot holes at another level..lol... it gave the car a nice 2" drop. They were $173 shipped to my back door. I need new bushings too matter fact.

Koni doesn't make struts for neons from what I saw on their site.

No, KONI doesnt make an entire strut for the Neon/SRT-4, however, they do make the inserts...so basically you would use whatever strut housing you wanted and put the KONI inserts in, then you have KONI struts. ACR sways are the same as R/T sways, and if you want the least body roll buy the Hotchkis sway bars instead. They are costly (at $270) but well worth the price...

I stand corrected about the Konis. What size are the hotchkis front and rearsways?
03neonRT what are your thoughts on the Tokico blues ? Or what do you suggest for struts and springs?

The Hotchkis are 29mm Front/27mm Rear...while the R/T-ACR sways are 22mm front/19mm rear. I would highly recommend the Tokico Blues for the struts, and for springs either the Tokico springs or my personal favorite the Eibach Pro-Kit springs.
