You never have a "true dual exhaust" because our motors are I4's so I don't know exactly why you said that. The only way I see someone could get a dual exhaust is by making a custome header and running two straight pipes back which would be interesting to see. lol

Because people say they are "dual exhausts" when are not.

Picky picky, when do have to be that politically correct in here. Though, the proper wording would be dual exhust tiped muffler I guess.

The srt4 exhaust doesnt have a muffler only resantors I added a glass pack muffler on mine instead of the resantors. I never said any dual exhaust on a neon was a true dual .

I believe the proper term is "Dual Exhaust Outlets"...

But anyway, I would stay away from the SRT-4 rear section unless you want to add a glasspack to the midpipe also...if you dont add the glasspack the sound will be very harsh. Here are two sound clips of the SRT-4 rear section on a standard 2.0.

In my opinion the sound is horrific...[:-]

Your right it is very loud and louder than the big mufflers . I love loud but had to get glass pack on for the cops . I ran without and with the resantors and now with the glasspack tamed her down some still has a nice tone to the exhaust. glasspack muffler was 80 bucks installed so if you go with a srt exhaust besure to get a glasspack mufffer installed will help in the longrun.

Although opinions differ... especially when it comes to the ear.

I loved mine, even before the turbo. I also got nothing but compliments from the locals. The only people that i've heard say they didn't like it are from people on forums. one, they never done it themselves... two, they've never heard it in person. only whats been posted through a sound clip, which can differ from the actuall sound. three, they are just repeating what they read in another post. or four, they truely don't like the sound.

no disrespect to anybody, some people really don't like it. Funny though, i was told all the same things back when i did it. Although nobody had attempted it at the time they still told me it would sound like sh_t. I was the first on the .org to do it back in Sept of 2003.

anyway, without a glasspack... it does sound liek sh_t!

Rear section, no glasspack. sounds like poo: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...79781928270438
