Default Are Tower Bars really worth it?

Hello,

I'm planning on getting a tower bar for my 04 Neon. Does anybody know if their worth getting? Do they really make a difference or not much?

Thanks.

I'd agree with spikey... about all the bar will do is add more weight to your vehicle. Most of those bars won't hold any more tension than the unibody of your car will anyway (or at least not enough to ever notice).

Lower to upgraded sway bars, add one in the back if you don't have one will do wonders. Trust me. Get some wider tires as well.

Got about the widest tires I can fit on my car (205/40/HR17's on a 7.5" wide rim that actually measures almost 8" wide)... but is it a night-and-day difference after adding the sway-bar to the rear struts? Before and after lowering?

Well I got wider tires after I put sway bars on front and back. But it made a HUGE difference with the stock 15" rims and tires. I would highly recommend putting a sway bar in the rear if you want your car to handle well.

I'm assuming an SRT4 rear sway-bar will bolt up to my sway-bar-less-in-the-rear SXT?

If you have the tabs on your struts it will. However if you have stock struts they will not. You'll have to get the mounting brackets or new struts.

I would go with everything. Swaybars front and rear, lowered, strut bars front and rear, and wide tires. It will handle like a go cart.
