I heard some eyelids were made of a stiff plastic, but I guess you got some that are basically just stick on vinyl?
I made my own out of scrap vinyl that matched my car color ($0 cost)... I had trouble too, but I think the way I did it was to cut an oversize piece, streched till I got the wrinkles out, then cut the vinyl to the shape I wanted.

im assuming theyre vinal ones. you prob got a **** pair, and you could have used a wet method so you can still move it and have it perfect before it dries whered you get them from? also, yu will have spider cracks on your headlight in the shape of the eyelid so dont expect to take them off

i got em from revolution motorsports. but i used the wet method then the place that put them on used the wet method but it still didnt work. but what exactly do you mean by spider cracks. i dont plan on taking them off soon but maybe in a few months or so if i find poly ones. but couldnt i just heat them up and pull them off?

the plastic where the eyelids are will get super hot because it will reflect onto it and not have air blowing on it to cool it so there will b millions of tiny cracks in your headlight where the eyelids are

I had a set of vinyl ones but i couldnt get them on. But there are some Polyurethane Paintable Eyelids and carbon fiber ones on ebay they are for most of them are for 00 to 03.
I dont know if they would fit 03 up. if they do i might get a set myself.
