Default Specs on Stock Exhaust?

For the "Base" 2nd Gens, I know that the tubing is 2 1/4". I want to know about the muffler itself. Are the inlet and outlet both center or offset? I'd get under mine and look, but it's below freezing outside and it's been snowing all night and thru the morning here. Please let me know.

LOWSLOWNEON,
I thought you had posted pictures somewhere of you old stock exhaust.

It's center on one side and offset on the other side. And yes...among the probably 500 pictures of my car I do have some of my muffler.

yea off center and the inlet pipe is a 2in. the midpipe gets smaller as it gets to the muffler. weird thing is the srt pipes do the same and are the same size

I thought the 2nd gen base models had 2" piping and the R/T and ACR's got 2.25" piping. Am I wrong?

nope the sxt and es or se or whatever the hell it is has 2.25 piping until the back where it goes to 2.0 and then connects to the muffler which is 2.0 opening. the rt has 2.25 all the way back

Sowhat you are saying is if I am changing the stock muffler out for a flowmaster, a little bit of tubing will have to be replaced or modified to accept an inlet size of 2.25".
