just curious if anyone knows if this can be done...ive seen turbo kits from 2000bucks and up....is it possible for an auto..i realize mods would might have to be done?

ive been on the hahn site before but it doesnt say anywhere that it supports auto tranny cars....

there is no reason you cannot turbo an automatic car!!!! All you need is the kit, some time, money, patience, and you can turbo anything.

The problem with the Auto tranny is simply it cannot take a lot of Horses... so if you more than 260 horses you do a transmission swap (but the turbo will only bring you up to 210-220 whp...).

So go for it.

 

Yeah dude seriously automatic or manual doesn't even mean ****. You can turbo any **** you want as long as there's a kit.

 

yes u can do it, but is pretty dumb imo. automatics are just gay, u want the turbo to go fast so u obviously want a 5 speed transmission aswell so that u can actually get the power out of each gear.

 

u can turbocharge it but its not as good as putting it in 5 speed.

 

what is a safe psi for the 2.0 atx?

 

You can turbo an auto I have a hahn stage 2 in my 1st gen for 2yrs now and its just as fast as a srt4 . Again with the 5 speed is better than auto . Look at the grand national and all the srt8s faster than stangs and srt4s and other 5 speed v8s and turbos rides.

 

on stock internals on the sohc, maybe 5-7psi???
