Default caliper....

so yesterday i was doin my front brake pads on my 2000 dodge neon,
and whyle bleeding the calipers to insert the new pads took alot of force like the pistonwas stuck. and it also looked really rusted.
so i managed to get the pads in and install on the rotor.
did the same process on the other caliper and the same thing happened.
so after everything was in i decided to bleed the lines to get the air out. well i tried the bleeding process for hours n it never got hard. the brake feels very soft and i tried bleeding it many times many ways.also on the driver side wen i had someone pushing the brakes inside the car and i opened the bleeding screw, the fluid didnt come out as the other caliper, this one had lil drops coming outwhyle the other one spits it out
so im thinking, could it be the caliper piston that its not acting?? or is there anythingi should look out for?

Default RE: caliper....

well as far as the hardness of pusshin the piston on the caliper in...thats normal...usually people use a C clamp or something of that sort to push it in....so thats normal its most likely fine...and as far as the softness goes my brakes also are lil on the soft side might just be how neon brake system feel...but when you bleed the brake and no fluid came out one side thats not normal...i would maybe make sure you have the fluid topped off and when you bleed them make sure you have the valve all the way open or a trickle most likely would happen if its stick weak then consider flushing the break lines..
