I would think go with the K&N filter/cold air intake I found it for 214.00 on another site......I have a 96 neon expresso......dry locked the motor so I want the K&N
seems the filter set up stays on top of the motor
the typhoon? its an sri or cai, depending on how you want it. you have a true cai, unless you want to change it to a sri for inclement weather. its not too much work to change it around either. its what i have:
Why is everybody crying about quality??? Im just after power?? In the end when I look at it...it boils down to a tube and a filter...I bought the cheap one off ebay and stuck a k&n filter on it just like my signature says...i'm not rich and no where close but there is a much better throttle response along with a very deep throaty roar. theres a video on myspace of me accelerating...its named "fourth gear" if want to search for it and find it. Sounds great. -03NeonRT- what kind of hp gains are you looking at with a cheap intake with a k&n filter compared to an expensive one...about the same right?
Het thats funny chazle, no I meant mine is a show car. Also kapitald the AEM intake looks better and I don't have to worry about little headaches on installing it and worry about the durability.
Performance wise, your going to get the same from the Ebay CAI w/ a K&N compared to a K&N or AEM. On a side note for the K&N Typhoon though, you shouldnt be paying more then $170 with shipping...
What do I do with these two extra pieces of metal that came with it? is it for securing and stabilizing the throttle body? It's driving me nuts, the thing just flops around...but i dont' know where to mount these two pieces of metal!
