First the milage is not transferable.... second the cannot work becuase... it was something like our DIS ignition sends a square signal and the tach uses a triangle signal???? make no sense to me but that is what i read somewere else. With the tach adapter it was very easy too do. he is a link to one on ebay right now for like 10 bucks..... i have mine somewhere i see if i can find it.

Technically the mileage can be transferred from an old cluster to a new one, but there is no DIY method of doing this...if you were to take it to a dealer they would most likely not do it for you unless it was damaged beyond repair. The dealership sends the cluster out to another company for reprogramming anyways...I've also heard the mileage is stored on the PCM as well (not for the actual reading, but for a backup in case of odometer fraud, damage to the origianl cluster, etc), along with inside the cluster, but I havent verified the PCM storage for sure yet.
