Default PaceSetter Headers

I came across these headers for my 02' neon, and wondered if anyone has had any experience with them.

I've never heard of Pacesetters but they look a lot better than any Ebay brand.

Thanks for the help.

BTW are headers really hard to install? I opened up the hood and...damn it's cramped in there.

Pacesetter products are low quality, but serve their purpose as a cheap alternative. Pacesetter products, especially their exhausts and headers have a tendency to rust quicker then they should...but you get what you pay for. OBX is better, but the stock R/T header and Borla header is the best you could get IMO.

I purchased my pacesetter becuase it is an alternative for me. I am going turbo'd here pretty soon (the second I get the money in order). It is turbo or MTx, and even then I would still probably go for the turbo.

It was a cheap bolt-on that I can get some performance from (and I won't miss terribly).

FreeRider, where did you order yours from?

I was reading around and checking sites' ratings and everyone is saying that Auto Parts Warehouse is really really bad. I saw some OBX's on ebay for like 165, but i liked the 4-2-1 of the pacesetters.

you can buy the pacesetter headers at either...

ModernPerformance.com

or

Howellautomotive.com

I would recommend Modernperformance.

Borla no longer makes a header for the neon's engine. They pulled out a while back... so if you happen to find one, god is on your shoulders.

i purchasede my pacesetter at performancecenter.com http://performancecenter.com/product...2000/Neon/2.0Lum youl c my ratin and stuff, but pacesetter is my alternative till i get my turbo. da only hassle wit pacesetter is dat its not a direct fit. so u will have trouble wit dat but there is a significance in performance. i like how my neon runs now and u should feel da diffrence

Borla no longer manufacturers them...but that doesnt mean you still cant find them brand new if the place selling them still has the header in stock. As for the actual performace increase from the Pacesetter, well, it will be minimal at best (because the Pacesetter doesnt have the same flow characteristics as the Borla/Magnum header, and a short tube header on our cars doesnt give much of anything in the area of performace increase anyways), and any gains you "feel" from the butt-dyno are just in your head...
