Well I'm a few months away from hitting 60k on the odometer...so I've decided to change my timing belt and do a complete top end and lower end gasket overhaul. The best part is my parents said they might get me a my Comp 400 and AEM gear (the head will be off so install will be a snap) that I've been wanting but havent been able to afford...plus I plan on taking out the middle layer of the MLS head gasket which should give me a point or so increase in compression...thinking about adding a crank sccraper and windage tray to my oil pan but I'm not sure yet...

The windage tray keeps the oil from moving around during turns and heavy acceleration...the crank scaper keeps the oil off the crank which reduces the cranks mass (a little extra performance)...which by keeping the excess oil off the crank means more oil in the pan, which is more oil for lubrication...which is good. Crank scrapers are usually around $100 and the windage tray varies but usually around $150-$200 i think. I'd love to get my hands on the Moroso oil pan though...

The windage tray is like an insert that is placed inside the oil pan...you get a windage tray and crank scaper for $300 or just the crank scaper for $70.00 here --> http://www.crank-scrapers.com/prod01.html

is it something that i can just bolt on later, or is extensive work and i will need the engine apart to do it easier?
