by like a 96 civic 5 speed he has no bolt ons but like different clutch and a couple minor parts in the motor, he blew me away []

It was more then bolt ons assuming your a decent driver. Either that or he has a motor in there that did not come in that year honda, ex: gsr motor, ka swap, etc. Or one other option is he had n2o on there.

 

I would definately assume your car wasn't running right especially by how you have been saying that it is super sluggish. Neons are typically pretty peppy cars to start out with. But... that is a shameful loss.

I will rectify your loss by wooping on some civics tomorrow. You will be redeemed!!

Torque > VTEC...you should win against almost any stock Civic because of that simple equation alone.

i would have to say dohc vtec.........deff does not sound right to me........or engine swap.....that is a bad loss, i have lost to a integra with a dohc vtech...but he cheated, he had a bottle, and still only beat me by 4 tenths......lol

 

i raced a civic before when all i had was a CAI, header, exhaust, and throttle body.....and i beat him. now, i beat em all the time and i laugh and point.....
