Default coolant temp sensor

quick question. i will be having to screw a newcoolant temp sensoronto my motor on friday. it is a 3/8 size and i heard something about theres an extra 3/8 hole on the back of the block. it that true and if not, where is a good place to tap a new hole.??????

I'm confused...why not just tee off the head where the stock CLT sensor is located, or tee into a heater hose and mount the CLT sensor that way?

yeah if you doing it for ms just t into the heater hose that is what is I did
